A BULL NAMED INSTANT KARMA
There was a new bull on the circuit we'd  found out  just that day.
Would he be a Bufford or a honker? until a cowboy rode him it'd be kind of hard to say.

He wasn't nothin special. compared to other bulls he looked about the same.
The only thing we really knew was instant karma was his name.

Now cowboys can be a bit superstitious so we all felt a little dread.
Cause if this bull was really  karma we might end up maimed or dead.

Zeke Newell drew instant karma so he was the bull he'd ride on that day.
One look in to zeke's eyes, you could see he weren't a happy cowboy you might say.

All over Zeke's face you could see the fear a showen.
And as the afternoon wore on you could see that fear a grown.

Finally it was time for Zeke to take his ride.
He climbed a board old instant karma and got the bull rope tied.

There was no more fear in Zeke's eyes. It had been replaced by utter terror on his face.
No one would of blamed Zeke  if he'd bailed. I think it was only pride that kept Zeke in his place.

He tightened down the bull rope, gave a nod, and the gate was opened wide.
In a fraction of a second it was obvious that Zeke was  in for quite a ride!

That bull was facing north when he jumped into the air, froth flying from his mouth.
And when he finally came back down to earth that bull was facing south.

He went airborne one more time twisted around and did a kind of flop.
And before instant karmsa hit the ground this time he was spinin like a top!

Instant karma's eyes were filled with hate and blackness filled his soul.
It was easy to tell that killing the rider on his back was karma's only goal.

Instant karma did everything he could  to fulfill that goal and that folks is just a fact.
But Zeke stayed atop the beast as if he were glued to karma's back.

Finally we heard the horn blow. Zeke had held on for his eight.
And anyone who saw it would say Zeke's ride was truly great!

But instead of jumping off of instant karma Zeke stayed mounted on the beast
Zeke stayed on old instsnt karma for another 15 or 20  seconds i'd have to say at least

A cowboy finally caught up to instant karma, and after a little chase.
pulled Zeke safely off of karma  but there was still a dazed look upon Zeke's face.

When i finally caught up with Zeke he was headed for his truck.
I said "that was quite a ride son you sure gotta a lot of luck!"

Zeke looked at me and said  "well i guess you must  be right."
"Cause when i drew a bull named karma i thought i'd for sure be dead tonight"

"Zeke" i said, "staying on old Karma after that horn blew wasn't your best call."
"I know" says he "but i was so afeard of karma gettin me why i couldn't move at tall."

"Zeke what'd you ever do to fear karma so" I said.  "it must be quite the drama."
Zeke looked me in the eye and with straight face said "it was! Ya see one time I sassed my mama."
