Little girls sat with their Barbies.
How they wanted to grow and look so much like them?
Their tight skins and shapely bodies.

I didn't need the Ken dolls.
That's for sure I had GI Joe to come to rescue Miss Perfect Barbie.

Yet, I often wonder back then...

Where was the Barbie Doll
that had skin such as mine.
They had such Orientals made For it said made in China on their behinds.
Yet, none had beige skin like me
Were we not Barbie material then?

I wondered what it is like to be a Barbie doll and have my own GI Joe come to rescue me.

I played it all out.
