the thoughts of yesterday
just won't go away easy;
what might have been?
what could it be?
if it worked out the way
as i planned it for me...
would it be happier?
would it be more peaceful?
would it be as fulfilling as it is today?
maybe. but just a maybe!
no one could surely tell.
so might as well
leave it just a part of history;
a chunk of memory.
a dash of pain to mind;
and a scar of learning in defeat;
a sweet but brief relief
for a soul who badly needed rest.
regrets won't go away easy.
maybe it won't go away at all!
maybe it's meant to rewind;
maybe it's meant to remind
of our ability to err and to fall.
for many things in life are not within our call.
yet beyond all these aches and weights,
Heaven's hand is still in control.
let today be your pleasure,
and yesterday your treasure.
just wait and see; hence,
tomorrow it will make sense.
