piece of peace
After all the readings
Of all the bleedings
Of love
Of pain
to which I bow…
I need a piece
For this moment… for now
A place of peace
I'd love to spin that wheel
And put today
Into a beautiful light
Somehow
The clouds, though rainy
Are distinct and plainly-
Art for my eyes
Through joy and demise
The water in the air
That comes from elsewhere
Settles deep
In my bones
With pressure bringing pain
With pleasure hoping to stain
Tired of the tears
The volume of which
I care not to measure
Tonight
I have other aspirations
To which I’ll hold tight
Letting go the exhalations
Tho tired
True, I am a fighter
Not yet retired
I crave something lighter
Give me those cotton candy clouds
And summer night sounds
Paint me with joy
In a moment u certain
I refuse to be coy
And wrap myself in the final curtain
