Came inside lying on white
All those soldiers covered in red
With their own stories to tell
Hidden somewhere with their lies
And choices they don't tell
Saw them die in front of my eyes
All their love just flowing
Then came guy with those eyes
That smile and just saw me and said,
"There you are. Do you still love me?"
I never saw him in my life
But his wounds sold me all the prize
I had to do something right
I had to nurse him like i tried
I just had to say, "Yes, I'm yours and you're mine."
He died within minutes
After all the lies we shared
I think that was the only moment
The only time he was not scared
