Now that she’s a grown up
she’s become so numb
but the memories sneak out
like a sparkle of stars
in the darkness of the night
taking her away
to some echoes of laughter
taking her away
to moments once cherished
that same memories
that feels more like deep wounds
so painful physically
and heavy mentally
now, it became part of her
she carry them everywhere
they are no longer visible
but it still ache
trough they may hurt
they also remind
of the beauty in pain
the strength she finds.
