As I lay here lost in time
Thinking about the past
and what my future holds
When will I find that doing this crime
Is not the way to go
Acting as I have been
Do I finally realize that isn't me
What I have to do now in order to be free
Now is the time to change my ways
Change my thought patterns
Must change my days
This road I have been down
Isn't doing me any good
Times have been lost
And for what good cost?
Writing these lines
Helps me through my troubling times
If I deserve to be only me
Then it's time to take the right steps to be truly free
