The morning Sun peeping through the window kissed my cheeks,
My drowsy photophobic eyes instantly reacted to it, my cheeks turned pink.
The aging wall clock revised the numbers from one to seven,
An infinite level of euphoria kicked me out of the cozy bed.
I freshened up and "slurrrp" took a sip of my coffee,
Pulled out from the messy closet,the red kanjeevaram saree,
Which you bought for me from the 'Ethnic Stores'.
My eyes were stunned when I stood in front of the blurry mirror,
Cause through the haze I could see a graceful goddess of heaven.

The sizzling oxidised jhumkas were a perfect match to it,the tiny red bindi blowed the mind
And the milk-red lipstick completed the look,I ran through every nook
Of the house till the exit-door and slipped into the white heels.
Stepped outdoors and locked the door securely,
Heard a bunch of kids screaming"Happy Holi!",
Stopping a taxi passing through the main road, I took a comfy seat,
