I care, I don't care, I care, I don't care
In the sea of emotions,
I find myself caught,
Caring too much,
indeed a battle I've fought.
Yearning to be free from the weight I bear,
Yet knowing deep down,
I can't help but care.

To not care at all,
really is a tempting thought,
To shield my heart.
the pain to be put to a stop.

But as much as I try to build such a wall,
My leaves of caring nature refuse to fall.

It's a gift and a curse,
A constant tug to the wound my heart's revealing.
all because
In every moment,
every word,
every touch,
I find myself caring
a bit too much.
