There was a time
Not long ago
When your text
Started my day
In a beautiful way
Through out the day
Seeing your name
Come up on my phone
Made me smile so big
Knowing you were
Thinking about me too

Seems like yesterday
When you were mine
Dreams were big
Possibilities were endless
I had a glow about me
The glow of happiness
Everyone could see

I would give anything
To have back
When I felt so loved
So special
My heart was full
I was happy
The future was so bright

I cried for hours
When you said goodbye
My heart shattered
I was so lost
You were my best friend
My love
You were my sun
Starting each day
I was your moon
Ending each night

There was a time
Not so long ago
When I awoke
To a new day
The sun was shining bright
And even though
The pieces of my heart
Were not tightly glued back together
I knew somehow
At the end of each day
The moon will rise
Stars will sparkle
