a friend called Monday
What happened to Monday, my favorite day and friend?
With joyful beginnings and promises to send
A week full of possibilities, adventures untold
But today, it feels like its light was stolen, sold.
Once upon a time, Monday would arrive
With vibrant energy, as if it were alive
It embraced the sunrise, painting the sky
Inviting us to spread our wings and fly.
But lately, it seems Monday has lost its way
Its radiance fading, like colors in decay
For now, its presence feels burdened and worn
A shadow of its former self, drenched in mourn.
Gone are the days of Monday's vibrant cheer
Replaced with a haze of worry and fear
The world has changed, and so has Monday
Leaving us wondering, "Where did it delay?"
Perhaps Monday is just masking its pain
As it witnesses the chaos, the world's disdain
Maybe it's searching for strength to return
To be vibrant, rejuvenating, and willing to learn.
For Monday, too, yearns for a fresh new start
An opportunity to mend each broken heart
To bring back the excitement, the hope, and the cheer
And remind us that every day can be dear.
So let us not forget, despite its subdued tone
Monday still has the power to brightly shone
With patience and love, we shall prevail
And once again, let Monday regally sail.
For what happened to Monday, my beloved friend?
Is merely a challenge we must all transcend
To find the spark that once made it so grand
And restore its magic in our collective hand.
