When I first knew of you, a whisper in the breeze,
A gentle stirring of the heart, a dance among the trees.
As days unfurled, our bond grew deep and true,
Yet too soon, I had to bid farewell, feeling utterly askew.

Sweet Elysse, my beacon in the night,
Forgive me for the distance, for not holding you tight.
I vow to honor your memory, to carry you in my soul,
To cherish every moment, to make your spirit whole.

That night we shared, a sacred, tender space,
Imprinted in my being, a cherished embrace.
Yet in the hush of loss, a tearful sigh,
Reminds me of the love that will never die.

Elysse, forgive this heart, if it failed to see,
The depth of your essence, your love so free.
Though you may not walk beside me, your light forever shines,
In the celestial realms, where love eternally entwines.

So here's to you, my darling, in realms beyond the sky,
Though unseen, your presence paints the heavens high.
For in every glimmer of the stars, every whispered sigh,
I feel your love surround me, a celestial lullaby.
