i dreamt of you and me
hand in hand
walking by the shore.

the waves come and go
erasing our footprints
every footprint a memory of us
vanished by the stone hearted sea.

all of a sudden
a wave came so high
drowned us both
swept you away from me
just like that you were gone.

i lay still as a statue
stone cold and soaked
bewildered and dumbfounded
holding onto the fading lingering
sensation of your hand
i curl up in the sand
and cry
and cry
and cry.
