We walked slowly hand in hand,
I only cling to you, I hope you understand;
Guide me, hold me, with grace;
So this fragile heart would not be shattered.

As I looked into your dark brown eyes, I see our future,
Please don't blink, for I wanted to see myself with you there..
Where there's only the two of us, happy and contented,
With wide smiles drawn both in our faces.

But then you made a truce with your dearest old friend,
You blink as tears flowed in your scarred face..
No matter how hard I tried to wipe your misty eyes to find our reflections there,
Now all I can see is only myself,
Staring at you, bewildered and confused.

You moved inches away from me, and I followed,
Your paces seemed fast, my sore feet were in a race
'Slowly,wait for me' I begged you and plead;
You turned around, grabbed my hand and fled.

'I'm in such no hurry, be calm and not be scared' you said. 'For I will be with you, no matter how far this road would take',

Heart skipped when those words were said,
So, I looked at your eyes again to find truth,
but it was no longer me in there, it's HER instead..
