Wish, desire, heart, star, reflection, smile, existence, behold, serene, warmth.

I once had a wish
beholding my reflection in a pool
I watched as every part of my body responded to every flow and wave.
I gazed with disgust at how inconsistent I looked.

Taking a retreat from the sight, I stared at myself
Why did the water make me look so flawed?
Was I really flawed or the water had a different point of view?
Then a little thought hit me,
"It all depends on where you're looking"

I had looked at my reflection in different surfaces and objects and they all didn't give the same result although they did just one thing,
They described me based on what they saw.
They all remind me of people and how they've tried to define me based on what they see.
Just like surfaces, they're never totally wrong but how I see myself is what matters most.
