The Good Old Days
Take me back to days gone by,
When greetings flowed, no need to try.
Strangers smiled, no names exchanged,
Yet kindness in their hearts remained.
When children knew both place and grace,
Their laughter pure, a soft embrace.
They learned the value, firm and true,
Of respect given, and respect due.
Where elders spoke, and wisdom reigned,
In silence, lessons were ingrained.
A world...
When greetings flowed, no need to try.
Strangers smiled, no names exchanged,
Yet kindness in their hearts remained.
When children knew both place and grace,
Their laughter pure, a soft embrace.
They learned the value, firm and true,
Of respect given, and respect due.
Where elders spoke, and wisdom reigned,
In silence, lessons were ingrained.
A world...
