Betrayal cuts deep, a wound that never heals
A trust broken, a heart that now conceals
The pain and anger that surge through my veins
As I plot my revenge, my mind filled with pains

I'll bide my time, wait for the perfect moment to strike
And watch as the one who wronged me pays the price
For their betrayal, their lies, and their deceit
I'll make them pay, and taste my defeat

But as I plot and plan, a thought begins to nag
Is revenge truly worth the effort, the time, and the drag?
Will it bring me peace, or just add to the strife?
Perhaps it's better to let go, move on with my life

Forgiveness may be hard, but it sets you free
From the chains of hatred, the hurt, and the enmity
So I'll let go of my anger, and embrace the light
And find a way to move on, and make things right.
