For the people I meet
When traveling alone.
The kindness and compassion
I've seen from complete strangers
Is sometimes more than those
I've known all my life.
They'll offer me a seat
or keep me company
By lending me their ears.
They'll guide me to my destination,
And won't judge me if I mistep.
The smiles are genuine
and the laughs are hearty.
And even though it's seconds
Compared to the rest of my life,
It makes me realize,
