The Greatest lie
The wise man says the world has no maker
Don't you see, there is no God!
Yet he tells his own son
"I am your father, and there is your mother
We bare you"
Then his son asks
"Who made the flowers"
Does it have a father
and a mother just like me"?
They tell him there's none
We all evolved
millions upon million years of old
He wonders on in confused thought
How can something
Come out from nothing
How could he be formed
Without his dad and mom
Then he asks again
"If ye bare me
why hath not this world a maker"?
If the carpenter makes a chair
and the baker makes a cake
and you a father has a son
why is there not a maker who made this world
They chew their nail
for they know it is a great lie
I see measurement in all things
I see design, symmetry, and beauty
I see time and formula
all showing the work of a genius and an intelligent mind
So why does a son have a father
and the world not a maker
They still chew their nail
