Feet slowly going numb
Brain shutting down bit by bit
Almost at the edge of hope
But still, a bit of flame in his heart lit.

Not letting himself off the track
Not letting himself go down
Not allowing his body relax
Trying his best not to drown

Trying to get back on the surface
Trying to swim out of the sea
Trying not to give in with a hope
That his struggles, someone finally might see

For he was waving at them
Looking at him, they all thought
But he was just asking for a hand to save him
But he never got the help he sought

Despair everywhere inside his thoughts
With a heart full of pain
He drowns deep inside the water,
As another life goes to vain.
