A Father's Love
Hello my love.
I've checked in for my yearly fukk off.
I still pray to the Lord above, that
your heart of stone would go soft.

Summon up your hatred for your own
created enemy.
Numbness from the self inflicted pain
you cause and blame on me.
You sound just like the source of what's
become my regret.
I only tried to help her and yet this
is what I get.

You justify your angst, because of
endless confusion.
You're acting insane from an aimless
dillusion.
I'm trying to break the chain of self
loathing and abuse.
Can't scrub out the stain of hurtful
words that you use.

How dare you put this crown of thorns
upon my tired head.
I know you wish that you weren't born
and that I'd end up dead.
What's said is said, there's no going
back now. The memory remains.
We make our own bed and ain't it
strange how it gets wet every time
that it rains.

Can't disguise the pain behind the mask
of shame you chose to wear.
I think it's pretty lame, the only shame
there is is that I'm not there.
You made the split decision
with your lack of self control.
An outburst in an instant that
has taken it's toll.

It was pretty clear to me as you
screamed it in my ear.
I've never been hurt by anyone
so near to me as much as I have
by you, my dear.

I pray that you will find some peace
and don't hate me for an infinity.
What's it going to take for you to
see I love you Trinity.
