Well if cuts didn't leave marks and if my marks didn't represent my worth,
Maybe I would have enjoyed a bit more of my time on this earth;

If my past was left in past and if only I wasn't always the one picked at last,
Maybe I too would have discovered the universe through all it's beauty and vast;

And if mirrors never existed and the world was a blind place,
Maybe I would too have enjoyed being me, and wouldn't have joined the race;

If only books could talk, and music was someone living next door,
Maybe I wouldn't have been this lonely, socially awkward, crying on the floor.
