This poem is a revised version of Missing Her which I had written on a whim. I will keep the original open, and I do hope you like this one as well. Thank you for reading my work. I truly appreciate your time and comments if you have them.

A Reflective Longing

I find myself missing you, and I wonder where you are.
I've searched reflections
everywhere in places near and far.
You slowly started fading
with each passing day.
The looking glass reflected that, from me you've gone away.
Though once I caught a glimpse of you, and I reached for what was then.
I had hoped to bring you back, but you disappeared again.
My will to find you vanished, this was crystal clear.
For my doubts had finally joined all that I had feared.
It was then that I stopped searching in every reflective I had viewed, because the disappointment was too great when I saw it wasn't you.
Alas I must accept that I'll never see,
the one I have longed for, the you that once was me.
For in the past you will remain, and forever shall you be.
