Solitary Leaf
A fresh green leaf,
reposing calmly,
On the soft
sandy beach,
Where is your clan?
Questioned the sand,
How did u reach here?
Asked the sea waters,
The shells and pebbles
Looked perplexed,
For they too had the
same query in head!
The solitary leaf smiled,
each crashing wave,
it had vehemently survived,
“The westerly winds,
Brought me for a trip,
Planted me safely
To see the mighty ship,
I belong to the land
surrounded by mountains,
Had never seen the sea
Or the coastal lowlands,
I am happy to be here,
You see,”
The leaf replied
charmingly!
“I know I may not make
it back to my base,
Without regrets, am
enjoying every bit of
my jaunt at
this lovely place!”
