I could go to God for mercy but I am used to hell already,
I have lived a billion years, my pain has lived a million more.
I could go to God for mercy but I am prodigal my life is sweet,
I have no love for my brother, I'll take his rights for a pot of porridge.
I could go to God for mercy but I have eyes on the throne of mercy,
if he jumps I may save the savior, or smile and let him fall.
I could go to God for mercy but pride has been my downfall, I was the beautiful devil but hell froze my heart cold.
I could go to God for mercy but hope had betrayed me,
and if I ever find him, the world will miss him too.
