A smile that lights up her soul
A personality too big, too amazing to be tame
It's contagious, infectious and when she's around him she can't help but laugh
It was a friendship for the both of them, a bond beyond compare
Yet she wanted more and she knew he didn't feel the same
The emotions she possesses were torturing, haunting, soul shattering

There is a war that continuously rages inside of her
she often gets pass it, at least she tries
But she keeps coming drifting back to the place it all started
Just like a helpless bird being tugged by the brutal force of the wind
She wants to escape their friendship
But it's all she knows
It's something they've had for so long that it feels wrong
Wrong to run away, wrong to punish someone she loves for something they can't help
There is no winning in this one-sided love story
The cruel thing is
If she leaves it'll be misery
But if she stays, she still suffers.
