Memories.....the life I lived
As the year draws near its end,
I ponder what I could amend,
So many thoughts, so much regret,
A chance to change, a goal unmet.
My grandmother’s voice, a soothing balm,
Through laughter and stories, she kept me calm.
We’d sit together, just her and me,
Reflecting on the past and what used to be.
Kids today, they seem so far,
From the respect we held, like a guiding star.
I miss those rainy days, confined inside,
When tales were spun, and hearts opened wide.
Oh, how I long to see her face,
To feel that...
I ponder what I could amend,
So many thoughts, so much regret,
A chance to change, a goal unmet.
My grandmother’s voice, a soothing balm,
Through laughter and stories, she kept me calm.
We’d sit together, just her and me,
Reflecting on the past and what used to be.
Kids today, they seem so far,
From the respect we held, like a guiding star.
I miss those rainy days, confined inside,
When tales were spun, and hearts opened wide.
Oh, how I long to see her face,
To feel that...
