The story of life,
Is a work in progress,
Success or strife,
You're allowed to digress.
No other writer can be the author,
Without settling, for too much less…
You could stand tall, as your hero…
You could fall short, from your distress .
The story of life
Awaits a journey to unfold…
Of miracles and tragedies;
To be written in gold.
What will your character
Draw, to be seen in the light?
Before its narrator grows too weary…
to speak proudly with might.
Before the inkwell dries…
Or gets knocked to the floor;
Each sentence is your own choice…
Never less and never more.
Until the book abruptly closes!
Leaving our history to be told.
Let love give warmth to your pages…
Before your hand grows too cold.
The moral of the story;
Is your purpose to befriend.
Before the time comes,
For the next hand
To write their way to…
THE END.
