I hear the sound of your footsteps
In the midst of a sudden chill

I walk these darkened halls
in a haze of disillusionment
Surrounded by ghostly shadows ..

I pause in hesitation
I hear the whisper of laughter
I look out through a window
the darkness slowly dissipates

I see you standing in the sunlight
as it breaks through the trees
Rays of gold .. shades of green
on a backdrop of bluest indigo

I can feel your embrace .. the gentlest
caress .. a fragrant breeze
I see your smile .. a passing shower
in every flower I see

It is in the quiet of the sun's setting ..
My need for you .. consumes me
It blurs all I before me …
It's only when I close my eyes ..
