A Star
I looked up high and saw a star,
A star so high, away so far.
So far this star that I could not see,
Could not believe it was for me.
A star, a light against the night,
The night so cold with a light so bright.
So bright that little glowing star,
That star that seemed away so far.
I put my hand up to the sky,
Reaching up so very high,
And took ahold of that little star.
And now the star is not too far.
I hold that star within my hand.
I gently hold it in my hand.
Such a beautiful little star,
My little star from away so far.
