Who are they?
Life savers they are,
Invaluable and emotional support they give,
Compassionate they are,
Comforting care they give.
Its world nurses week!
A week set aside to celebrate nurses around the world.
How painful it is,
That when nurses are to be celebrated,
Many are losing their lives to the rampaging COVID_19 pandemic,
Due mostly to inadequate PPEs.
But giving up not, they do.
Greatest advocates for the patient they are,
Due to how compassionate they are,
Holding patients’ hands they do,
And great hope to the patients they give.
It’s is not how much they do,
But how much love they give.
Healthcare without the nurses is not complete,
As complete healthcare needs them.
