fable, fable
I befriended the wolf,
howl by howl,
but the dog became my foe—
growl by growl.
I watched the
butterfly
flutter, fly,
but stones were thrown
as it soared to the sky.
The frogs by the stream,
they croaked with glee—
said I was ugly,
they laughed at me.
So I left them,
hop by hop,
a day 'fore the flood
went plop.
Our neighbor's a bee,
buzz-buzzing loud,
accusing, blaming,
too proud.
It used to buzz—
now it swarms
like a lie—once a bee,
now just a fly.
I love...
howl by howl,
but the dog became my foe—
growl by growl.

flutter, fly,
but stones were thrown
as it soared to the sky.

said I was ugly,
they laughed at me.
So I left them,
hop by hop,
a day 'fore the flood
went plop.
Our neighbor's a bee,

now it swarms
like a lie—once a bee,
