Happy Mom's Day
What's it like to be my mom?
To raise a colorful character on your own,
Always being there even when you're not home,
And never giving up no matter what I haven't done?
How can you still be able to smile,
Despite the worry you get and the shouting you give?
How can you sleep peacefully at night,
When you still have a grown man's welfare to worry about?
And yet, I see her smile beautifully every morning,
Right before she yells to ask what time am I willing to wake up..
The number of times I've seen her worrying,
Is the equivalent of the number of times she's made sure I don't worry,
And the number of times I've seen her upset,
Well, it's half the number of times I forgot to do something she'd told me to for about eleventeen times,
Again, I ask,
What's it like to be my mom?
To go through all that and still smile and say;
"Always stay blessed, my son."
You say it a lot, but now's my turn,
Happy Mom's Day, Always stay blessed..
