When things don't move along fast enough.
They ache for more but all at once.
I used to mark their behavior and reactions down as demonic.
But yesterday, all I wanted was to be further ahead.
Ahead of everything, including them.

When you've played the game long enough, when you become accustom to the fallbacks and great upcomings.
You realize that...if you can collect enough evidence of a promising project.
You'd be closer to the end of it all.
Achieve all that they want to see.
Record more than they ever expected.
Be the most you can be.
Would that be enough.

Listen to me when I say, it takes years if not decades, to come to terms with such a lifestyle, especially a lifestyle you never asked for.
But there is a point where you give up fighting against them and instead proceed alongside the opponent and give it your all; do as they say.
It's like biting a bullet, you know it'll hurt but at least you know when it's coming.
