This chalk Was Washed Away
#WritcoPoemPrompt49 @AtulPurohit
The days of slate and chalk,
Are not easy to erase,
They hold memories,
Of my childhood,
Oh what is here
is what is left in
a world with all
new survive after
Covid 19 and other
things which hand
life.
Yes none of this happened
in my childhood
But back then times
we're different
there were flowers
dancing or shows
paper flowers to decorate
the stages of school and home
sewing making my outfits
back in the day
crying because I stuck my
finger with the needle
trying to make the outfit
back then no mask.
Oh an most of all
jellies which we would
buy at Woolworths which
would burn your feet in
a real hot summer when you
wear them outside and the
Sun is so hot it's trying to
melt you and you walk and
burn and take them off and
rub your feet. And drink an
eat outside. Where bees and
other things try to get your
lunch from you.
And you smile up at the sun
an say thank holy Lord
You woke me up
An I Still Can Say that
My memories are the best
And not what others try to
over shadow
with there lips and words
no rose of all colors were
my past and school houses
shaped liked castles
And party's and loving
everything about being child
in the past to know.
Now getting older I see
so much that is very different
from my past. It's dark
But we as people can change
this and fight the Covid 19
And climate change
To get us back to where we
all were enjoying life
not bunching people to get a buzz
or smoking bad synthetics drugs
that don't smell right in the atmosphere of a building.
Why has a bake changed
people used to do loaded brownie s
now all those bakes are just funny
memories. Like coke the soda and
the people putting cococane leaf
And mixing it with sugar. And never
was sued by the American public for
doing this and changing the mix. to cover the facts but the soda is still
sold in an all over the world today
an it is amazing you now and also
back then.
