Lost in this gentle breeze,
The music plays gently, softly,
I’m appeased.
Forgetting the woes of yesterday,
Absolved from those of tomorrow.
Here's the strength I hope to garner
As my fears are driven further, farther
Out of reach.
This melody takes me on a journey
And I'm a willing captive.
Becoming one with my desires,
United with my passions,
Life is simplified and in that moment,
Everything has purpose;
Even pain has beauty.
This feeling's indescribable!
Oh, the journey!
The journey of discovery;
The journey of recovery.
I remember who I was,
The things I used to love.
Those I thought were lost.
The passions I gave up.
As if the music Itself
Was sympathizing.
Then gently, slowly,
And oh so suddenly;
The illusion fades,
And I’m here
All over again.
