I was walking past the rainbow
life was full of colours
all was brighter all was clearer
I glowed inside out, my life was on top.

then I heard it, beep of his phone
message notice from sweetheart
who? me? I didn't send any message
who had sent it, who was this tart.

He rushed out of the washroom
was there a call for me? he asked
I was shocked, no there was a message
my life suddenly lost its colour
felt like a golden cage.

I soon felt the subtle changes
I soon was filled with remorse
when had it all started
when did life take such a course.

I wasn't strong I wasn't weak too
So I thought what to do,
is it a fling or is he serious
will he stick with me, what is he up to.

but then tragedy struck
my body gave way, BP and diabetes
Thyroid couldn't take it either
they say heart break can give you
a heart attack

now I am in heaven,
looking down on him
she left him for someone richer
now he comes to me with flowers
and cries, I want to reach out
and hold him but I can't...
