Love isn't what you read on the worn pages of a romance novel. It's not some chemical called dopamine that produces "happiness or pleasure". Love is more. Love is standing next to your spouse to be, crying, because you can't believe you're getting married. Love is standing in front of your spouse and saying your vows with tears in your eyes. Love is holding your baby for the first time. Love is videotaping your babies first steps. Love is sitting in that uncomfortable chair holding your spouses hand until that monitor stops beeping, and the line goes flat. Love is visiting their body that is six feet under and putting flowers on the tombstone. Love is moving on because that is what your spouse wanted. Love is having more children. Love is going to your spouses grave every year for 54 years straight. Love is laying on your death bed holding your children's hands when your pulse goes dead, and your skin goes pale. Love is hard. It takes alot of work. But once you put forth the effort, you won't lose a single drop of that precious love. Because love, is inevitable.
