the water ripples without a sound
the foxes footsteps silently roam the
cherry blossom tree stump

The whispers of long lost souls
speak to their widowed love ones
and guide them through the night
the shepherds sheep wonder round the pen


The wolves have howled
but not tonight they respect the sleeping
and climb over the mountain

The trees branches sway
dancing in the wind
and the leaves provide the perfect dress
but the sun arrives on the horizon

goodnight the sun said
its time for foxes wolves and
long lost souls to rest and
go to bed
