Nature's Bliss

I once sat by the pond alone,
I miss spending sometime all by myself,
I miss waiting for the Sun to set,
So it would beat on my skin,
I miss taking a cold bath in the waters below,
I miss climbing up the tree,
Singing along as the birds chirp,
I miss hunting for strawberries at noon,
I miss taking a stroll down the woods,
I miss the warmth nature served me each time,
I found love here,
So pure as the waters flow,
My heart would often remind me of these memories,
But there came the day I had to say goodbye,
I held the last stone with my face burried in dismay,
The last hope I had remaining,
I laid it to rest by the pond,
I took the last glance at peace near the waters with tears in my eyes,
I'll return someday,
To share with nature,
The joy of being a blessing to many,
With the love it gave,
And the warmth I'd drawn from it..
