Heal Your Wounds and Leave Mine Alone
It’s always the same
Looking for others to blame
Leaving your shame
To glean and lean into
I hope you’re okay
I hope that you can find
The reason why you’re here
And find your way in time
Heal your wounds
And leave mine alone
Opening up scars
That have been unshown
Torn apart by love
Living within hate
Break through to break free
Before it’s too late
My wounds woven deep
Wash, rinse, repeat
Forged from fire
I put out the flames
With the tears I have wept
Only I was to blame
Until my resurrection came
I arose from the depths
And grew like a rose
My thorns what kept
Me from the bellows
Heal your wounds
And leave mine alone
Opening up scars
That have been unshown
Torn apart by love
Living within hate
Break through to break free
Before it’s too late
