full of wisdom
no book affords
no school awards
only inspired by my LORD
I see the future Me
full of Grace
no chivalric code instills
no civility impels
simply a masterpiece of my Maker
I meet the future Me
fully God-embodied
Eyes of light
Ears tucked to His mouth
Heart of love
Homed by Christ
Hands and feets in love
with His works
Mind wheeling by His will
Mouth megaphoning his Gospel
All of these: I'll be
By grace
I await the future Me
gradually yet not slow
faithfully yet not fast
I wait!
And I love the wait
It sheds my weight
The faith of the Son
