Hate Speech
I’m not anti-semite. I’m not anti men.
Chinese people matter to me.
I don’t hate the Indians, Christians, or blacks.
I value the women I see.
I judge individuals. I do not judge groups,
for race and religion are broad.
By actions consistent, I’ve drawn my conclusions
for humans will always be flawed.
I noted the patterns and made observations
of all types of humans I saw,
until I discovered the scum of the planet:
the people I hate most of all.
The people I hate most of all in this world
are the parents who fail to do right.
The weak irresponsible ones who extinguish
the old generational light.
If you had a parent who taught you to cook,
or care for a garden, or sew,
and you are not teaching those skills to your child;
you might be the ultimate foe.
Count cash. Shoot a gun. Start a fire. Make soap.
Too many cannot milk a cow.
Cut firewood. Raise chickens. Wash dishes by hand.
Do not tell me you don’t know how.
Go fishing. Bake cookies and learn how to swim.
Mend clothing and understand gears.
Change tires and lightbulbs and clean up a wound;
and never stop facing your fears.
