Her eyes gleamed with the light 
Of her inner strength,
She had walked miles,
Not worried about the length,
she always did it with a smile
she had the sparkle deep inside
dont them dull or dim her light, she said
the feeling of not wanting to get out of bed
she pulls herself up and her feeth reluctantly land
Lover, friend and mom, the work never stops
Son up to Son down is when her world begins and ends
she forgot to love herself
she learned late about self care and now she lives with that trauma but this woman is free
she got her strength times ten
even walked in shoes she never thought she would
smiled again and her light shined
