you know i've never been good at goodbyes
And with foster care there is a lot of those

i still hate them to my core.

you know my fractured brain has got to deal,
and well its fractured so here is my fractured toast

so i toast to the times i got to hear your small little giggles.

to the times that mama or me got to teach you a new thing like how to walk or even share

to soft cuddles and "i love you daddies"

i toast to the memories of the small things
like giving you your first slice of a pickle or a lime. to your first thanksgiving or christmas or at least with us

or to bigger memories like taking you to the zoo or aquarium or to the coast of texas

or to car rides learning your favorite songs...
