... you came.
You came,
when a thousand suns had shone,
and a thousand moons that rose had gone,
and from a thousand nights alone,
a river of a thousand teardrops had been born.
When from deep within my fractured soul came the cries of a heart betrayed and torn,
When heartbreak and pain had now become a perpetual song,
a sad lullaby for a king without a throne.

You came,
When to me, love was now just an affair filled with vanity,
And with pain having proven itself an inevitable reality,
the persuit for love had been rendered an act of stupidity.
When the echoes of love that once so audibly were heard had grown too weak for my heart to discern,
and the ashes of a heart broken and burnt a thousand thousand times had now like a dendy lion been blown away by the wind

You came,
when the pain and anguish, born of the naivity of my heart had devoured my soul.
When the brutal reality of love had been made known to me.
And all the walls i had built on the foundation of vain promises and empty vows had long since crumbled down on me

You came,
when i like a moth was hovering around temptation,
Blindly, No!, I was knowingly scorching myself by dashing at fiery hearts, searching for love in a world that clearly offered not such,
But you came and ended my search.

Piece by piece stitched back
a heart that many had tore.
And unlike those that came before,
Who only loved from the tongue
but failed to cary their words that weighed in tons
You dried my tears and cleared my every scar.
Yours was a love that came from the soul
And I could feel it to my very core.
