but he was ignored.
he struggled and died,
as his attacker knealt bored.

what have we done,
as a country,
as people?
what should we do
to conquer this evil?

he was just one
in a long twisted chain
of violence and suffering
injustice and pain

his cries were ignored
but won't be forgotten
we stand United for change
of a system gone rotten

you can no longer deny it
nor brush it away
no more chances and excuses
this won't end today

hear my voice
mark my words
a new chapter has started
and it's time we all fought
for the dearly departed

who lie dead underground
without even a name
their voices weren't heard
and that needs to change

so my friends rise up
and a broken system we'll shatter
for there's too many to ignore
