For you we were,
Just good friends,
But for me you always seemed,
Like my soulmate,

I never had courage,
To say I love you,
Because I feared that,
The truth might snatch away,
A good friend like you,

I was in love with you so madly,
I wrote a million poetries,
Describing how beautiful,
You seemed to me,

But I never let,
The poetry that flew,
From my heart reach you,
Cause I knew you never felt same way too,

But truth can't be hidden for long,
And my biggest fear came true,
You read the poetries,
I wrote for you,

For a moment,
I was optimistic,
That reality might,
Contridict my imagination,

But my heart shattered into pieces,
When you teared the pages,
And threw it into fire,
Not receiving your love was acceptable,
But losing a friend like you was unbearable.
