Fallen from the heights of life,
Half dead, half alive.
Soul was crushed but body lied,
Mind was fine but heart cried,
No bones fractured but broken inside,
No blood flowed but emotions died,
Clear sadness but eyes were dry,
Unable to hold myself up but walked a mile.
Hard to bear the pain from falling,
But at last a fine laugh I tried.
