The little girl who used to sit by the peepal tree
The one who wore bright coloured frocks
The one whose eyes were filled with warmth
The one who desired nothing but the stars
She used to smile at strangers, a smile full of love
A smile so genuine, that it spread like dust
Her mind so innocent, she knew not of greed
But as she grew she was taught the ways of human breed,

The girl was nobody, but a past of my life
The girl who is yet alive, deep deep inside
The girl who after some more years shall eventually die
The one who was nobody, but a past of mine.
